The Rosewood Phnom Penh, asset managed by Global Asset Solutions, has been named ‘Best City Hotel in Asia’ by Travel & Leisure.
The hotel, which opened in 2018, was also ranked number nine in the world.
Alex Sogno, CEO, Global Asset Solutions, said: “We are thrilled that this hotel has been named the best in Asia, the latest in a series of accolades for this exceptional property and we anticipate that it will continue to set the standard for luxury around the world.”
“This award is a testament to the vision of the hotel’s owner, Vattanac Capital, in creating such a landmark property in the city. The team at Global Asset Solutions has worked hand in hand with Rosewood and Vattanac Capital to deliver a world-class hotel that is now receiving its due recognition.”
The Rosewood Phnom Penh offers an ultra-luxury hospitality experience in the Cambodian capital. Located in Vattanac Capital Tower, the Rosewood Phnom Penh is the tallest building in the capital, which provides breath-taking 360º views of the city, bringing a new level of luxury to the city.
With a total of 175 rooms including 37 suites, the hotel’s residential-style guestrooms range from 50 m2 to 225 m2 to meet the different needs of leisure and business travellers. It has multiple dining outlets, including Sora, a sky bar perched on a cantilevered terrace, and The Pavilion, an elegant, residential-style meeting venue on the 39th floor. It also features Sense, A Rosewood Spa with seven treatment rooms, a Bastien Gonzalez nail studio, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a 22-meter indoor swimming pool.
Global Asset Solutions worked with the owner to open the hotel in what had been a long-delayed project. Post-opening work has included reviewing and recommendations for approval of the annual financial budget, annual sales and marketing plan, annual human resources plan, and the annual capital plan.
The group also conducts review meetings with the owner to discuss hotel trading performance, future projections, and strategic development of the asset as well as monthly detailed quantitative analysis of operating data and full-year forecasts of all operating departments.
Global Asset Solutions provides a fully ongoing operational analysis to identify initiatives and opportunities of cost structures, employee productivity, efficiency ratios, business initiatives, market updates, online strategy, comparison of trading results, and review of maintenance processes and productivity (including preventative maintenance programs).
